George Mason University

My last visit in Virginia took place at...

Theta Chi
George Mason University

Highlights from my time in Fairfax, VA:
+ Taking a day trip to DC with the members to catch a glimpse at the Cherry Blossoms!
+ Giving in to my dessert weakness when we stumbled upon Crumbs, an amazing cupcake shop in downtown DC.
+ Being able to witness some intense Greek Week festivities, including a "Shack" building competition for Habitat for Humanity.
+ Meeting the wonderful ladies of Theta Chi!

A Visit to Where the Green Grass Grows & Alpha Reactivation!

Last week I was able to visit Christopher Newport University, as well as take a trip back to Longwood University to witness the Initiation and Instillation of our Alpha Chapter!

Kappa Phi
Christopher Newport University

Out of all the schools I have been to in Virginia this month, CNU definitely had the brightest and greenest grass I have seen! Every other campus I have visited this semester has been trying to come back to life from the harsh winters, but it seems like CNU was untouched! This may seem unusual to point out, but it was such an evident trait of this campus as you can tell through the photos!

The women of CNU and I traveled to Longwood University to help reactivate our very first ZTA chapter. They were wonderful during this weekend, and I was grateful I was able to come back to witness this ZTA history. I was also able to meet up with some fellow consultants, some of which I am meeting for the first time!

Happy Thoughts

Lately I have been in love with these little inspirational snapshots that have been floating around the internet, often setting them as backgrounds on different devices to keep me in the right mindset! With so many decisions having to be made recently, this one is definitely appropriate. Tumblr has been catching my eye lately, which is where I found this image! Hopefully I can figure out how to set one of my own up, not that I need another social media site in my name.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Love,

Nicole

Where It All Began

Last weekend was Easter break, so I was able to have a little time off! My friend Elizabeth is a consultant that lives with our Alpha chapter in Farmville, VA, and I was lucky enough to spend this time with her.

Elizabeth and I met almost two years ago when we were both attending ZTA's National Leadership Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana as collegiate officers. She is from Louisiana, but was taking a flight out of Dallas/ Fort Worth to get to the conference. We ended up sitting next to each other on the flight there, and have kept up ever since! I never would have imagined that two years later I would be spending Easter weekend with her  as a TLC at the very place where our organization was founded!

I was SO EXCITED when these plans worked out, because there is so much ZTA history scattered across this campus that I've always wanted to see. It was surreal being where our organization was founded, and walking where our nine founders once walked over a hundred years ago. This was a wonderful weekend spent with a wonderful friend!
