James Madison University!

My most recent visit took me to the wonderful James Madison University!

James Madison University

The university, and the chapter, reminded me so much of the wonderful Texas Christian University in so many different ways! The beautiful campus, huge purple football stadium, and dorm-style Greek community all brought me back to college life at TCU. With that being said, the eight inches of snow and cancelled classes did not make me think of Fort Worth, TX in any way!

The way snow can transform a campus is incredible. I enjoyed getting up early on the snow day and touring the campus in the untouched snow!

Addie is starting to get used to the snow, and making new ZTA friends around the country!

The Beginning of my VA Travels!

After Spring Break, I was able to take my first of four visits in Virginia to Radford University! This is one of the schools I applied to for graduate school, so I had a special interest in touring the campus. I was able to meet some wonderful members, and even got to see some fellow TLC's when we finished the week at Virginia Zeta Day!

I am back in the COLD, which is now something I am starting to get used. The interesting thing about being at Radford is that it could go from warm to freezing in a matter of twenty minutes, which made me the girl carrying my pseudo winter gear everywhere around campus in preparation. I had a great visit, and having a Chick- Fil- A, Starbucks, and Pink Berry all within ten feet of each other made me a happy girl!

These girls have definitely been the most receptive to little Addie! He got to have a blast at Virginia Zeta Day, and at Radford!

So lucky to have met all of these women!

Destin-ation!

It just so happened that my TCU friends were making a pit stop in New Orleans on the way to Destin on the day my break started! I was able to jump on board and split my break between Destin, FL and McKinney, TX!

Now that I have been able to enjoy a wonderful break, I am ready to hit the road again! My first stop is Radford, VA!

Down in the Bayou!

The past four weeks have been quite the adventure! Arriving in New Orleans the day before Mardi Gras posed some challenges, but I have enjoyed it nonetheless. I have been experiencing all that the "Big Easy" has to offer with some other TLC sisters.

Top five things that have happened in NOLA:

1. Met five other WONDERFUL ZTA Traveling Leadership Consultants that I've never met before due to my mid-year start!
2. Experienced new foods including: jambalaya, crab legs, beignets from Cafe Du Monde, and giant pancakes.
3. Learned about the many Mardi Gras traditions, and even threw some of the beads up into the "Bead Tree" on campus.
4. Explored the streets of New Orleans, even though they proved to be confusing most of the time.
5. Reunited with my TCU friends in NOLA at the end of my stay to head to Destin, FL!

After some Destin adventures I will be heading back to the "#2 Best Place to Live in the USA," AKA my hometown McKinney, TX. After spending some time with my family I will be out on the road again!
