Where Hair Freezes

My most recent visit brought me to a very cold place, cold enough to freeze your hair.

Iota Nu Chapter
Susquehanna University

I officially take back everything I said about Indiana being cold, Pennsylvania is now officially the coldest place I have ever been. I realized this the first day I was there as the President and I went outside and her damp hair literally froze on her head. Looking at my phone everyday and seeing a low of ONE DEGREE made me realize I wasn't in Texas anymore. Even though I felt as if I were frozen the whole time, I loved my visit to Iota Nu! I met some of the nicest girls during my visit. Halfway through my stay I came back from dinner with some members and the rest of the chapter was back at the house waiting to surprise me with a Dairy Queen ice cream cake they had made just for me! My obsession with ice cream allows me to appreciate a good ice cream cake, even in the below freezing weather! One member I met even inspired a summer trip my best friend, boyfriend and I are now planning to take to the Mall of America where she works! Even as I departed they showered me with gifts and farewell hugs from the entire chapter. These women showed me true sisterhood, and I am so thankful I was able to visit Iota Nu!!

My last night at Iota Nu brought even more surprises!  Even Addie got in on hanging out with these ladies.

Thank you for an amazing visit ladies!!

The Disneyland of College Campuses

Delta Gamma Chapter
High Point University

High Point is unlike any college campus I have ever seen!! Here are some of the things I experienced during my visit:

1. Eating at an on campus steakhouse that teaches you etiquette (the other consultant got in a little trouble while using her camera in the restaurant- whoops!)
2. Playing in an on campus arcade, complete with Air Hockey, Dance Dance Revolution, Skee Ball, Basketball Hoops, and Racing Games.
3. Seeing a different fountain or statue everywhere I looked, including GIANT rocking chairs that I am obsessed with!
4. Staying in an INCREDIBLE ZTA house, and touring some facilities that resemble five star hotels!
5. Hearing about an on campus ice cream truck that drives around and serves students- too cool!
6. Receiving a hug, and a compliment, from the president of the university!
7. Having kiosks on the path to class, handing out snacks and water!

Delta Gamma before Pref Night!

Welcoming New Members!
At PRIME! The on campus steakhouse.

Yes, we got snow!

Addie was able to hang out at the arcade, and my flat friends met some new sisters!

The girls that I met here were amazing and treated me to a wonderful time! My stay at the "Furniture Capital of the United States" was a wonderful one, and I definitely want to take another visit back one day!

Clemson Adventures!

My last visit took me the beautiful Clemson, SC!

Kappa Zeta Chapter
Clemson University

Top three things I learned in South Carolina:

1. Bojangles is a fried chicken restaurant.
2. Zaxby's is a friend chicken restaurant.
3. There are a lot of fried chicken restaurants in Clemson with weird names.

Kappa Zeta's at State Wide Officer Training!

The girls that I was able to meet during this visit were great! They also gave me my first nickname, Alfie. I also had many TCU run- ins while at Clemson, including a Greek Advisor who met me with a TCU journal--I freaked!  Addie was able to hang out with Mr. Cox on campus, and these sweet girls gave me some parting gifts to remember my visit at Clemson!

Hello, I-O!

My training last week took me to International Office, which  in my opinion is the White House of ZTA.

International Office
Indianapolis, Indiana

Of course, Addie (Go Frogs!) made it into the training session to get up to date on his ZTA info. I have also added some other visitors to my travels, my flat friends! I made these when my friend Olivia went to London for a semester abroad. Since then, she has covered me up and added herself so that my ZTA sisters from Gamma Psi can come along with me!

My First Visit!

My first visit brought me to the land of the Hoosiers!

Alpha Xi Chapter
Indiana University

My first visit was definitely an exciting one! I learned that being cold in Texas, and being cold in Indiana are two very different things. In my mind, a single coat is appropriate for all of these "cold" weather situations, but I was very wrong. The excitement that the other consultant and I had for snow made these girls laugh, since this was a common occurrence for them. I enjoyed being on this campus, and loved the girls I met!
During my graduation party, my best friend Abbey gave me a glittery miniature Horned Frog that we have since decided to name Addie, after one of TCU's founders Addison Clark. Addie will be making an appearance with me everywhere I go, spreading the love of TCU to campuses far and wide.

Can't wait to see what my next visit has to offer!
